Nathan

Personality

Nathan is a rebellious yet reserved individual. He doesn't get along with a lot of people and he has a hard time making friends, however he is considerate to the people he is close with. Much like Dr. Stephens, Nathan despises the government and despises their treatment of androids. 

Being a very ambitious person, Nathan sets high expectations and goals for himself and does his absolute best to work towards them. However, this means that he will often neglect things such as relationships and his own health to live up to these expectations. He's very hard on himself, causing him to lash out when things don't go as planned. This all stems from his upbringing, however he doesn't bring this up often.

Nathan is still a kind person at heart, but only to those he deems friends. Anyone else doesn't really "exist" to him.

Present

Following Dr. Stephens death, Nathan finished his studies at his University and is continuing his apprenticeship under a new mentor. He frequently checks up on Cyrus through Jade and provides support to them by providing government intel and technical support. 

Talents and Abilities

Technical Skills 

Nathan is skilled in advanced robotics. He has been an apprentice for about 4 years now, however his apprenticeship is rather "loose". It was more on and off, so he has had periods of time where he was not acting as an apprentice. During this time, he took up hobbies in engineering and mechanics.

Nathan is also skilled in sound design, but this is more for fun rather than practical uses. 

Cyrus

Cyrus and Nathan are close acquaintances. They interacted with each other a lot while Cyrus was living in the city; Nathan, however, didn't want to impose on Cyrus too often so they only talked whenever they happened to cross paths. The two get along well, acting more like work colleagues rather than family. They still keep in touch even after Cyrus has moved to the Slums. 

Jade

Nathan and Jade are fairly close. Because Dr. Stephens was in hiding, he left a majority of negations to Nathan, many of these being with Jade. The two met a lot while Dr. Stephens was still alive; setting up safeholds, completing deals, and securing transfer plans. They became friends as a result. 

Nathan considers the two of them to be close friends; they get along whenever they met up in the past and they still keep in contact to this day. 

Dr. Stephens

Dr. Stephens took on Nathan as a apprentice while he was constructing Cyrus. Wanting to hopefully spread his knowledge and aspirations for androids, Dr. Stephens did his best to find a suitable apprentice that shared his ideals and had the determination to do so. Dr. Stephens came across Nathan, who was a university student at the time, and asked if he would be willing to become his apprentice. Nathan agreed to the proposal. 

The two get along very well. They have a lot in common and Dr. Stephens almost sees him as a son of sorts. Dr. Stephens was often hard on Nathan, however Nathan knows he had no ill intent. Nathan appreciated and respected Dr. Stephens deeply. He was one of the first to recognize Nathan's talents and also accept his absurd ideals. 

Lily's Creator

While they haven't met very often, the two are close acquittances. Nathan was introduced to Lily's creator through Jade, and the two have since worked together on a number of projects. Nathan thinks Lily's creator is similar to his mentor Dr. Stephens, but he does criticize Lily's Creator's timid and cowardly nature.
