Personality

A-1 is very closed off and cold. She hardly talks and when she does her responses are very cut-throat and short. She doesn't seem to express emotions very easily and it is unknown if this is due to her programming or just her personality. 

Despite her cold nature, A-1 does seem to be considerate. While she does often confront Cyrus, she almost never engages in battle first and will only act in self defense. She also takes the time to listen to what Cyrus has to say to her rather than ignore her. 

History

backstory

A-1's past is largely unknown. All that's known right now is that she's apart of a new AI development project to produce fully autonomous androids that are completely loyal to the government. She is the first and only android produced under this project so far and is currently being tested for her viability. 

Present

Currently, all that's known about A-1 is that she works as a bodyguard for the government. It's unknown who specifically she works for, but whoever it is seems to want to keep Cyrus alive. A-1 will often interfere with Cyrus's work specifically regarding collection of government data; either by stopping Cyrus before she can gather the data or by stealing the data before Cyrus. 

It's unknown why A-1 or her boss needs this data. 

Equipment

Sword

A-1 always carries a mechanical sword with her wherever she goes. It is styled after a Japanese katana, however it doesn't exactly fit the criteria to be one. The blade is slightly wider and longer and isn't as curved as a traditional katana. Along with the sword, A-1 carries a sheath for the sword. The sheath is pretty big and is entirely made out of metal. 

When used normally, it is a typical sword with pretty fierce cutting power. However, the mechanical sheath allows the sword to be charged with light energy, making it super hot. This allows it to cut through all kinds of materials with ease. 

Talents and Abilities

Combat Skills 

As an android, A-1 has enhanced strength, endurance, and durability. This is immensely helpful to her as a melee user, meaning she can fight for hours or even days without seeing a hint of tiredness. A-1 also has exceptional close combat capabilities, so it's wise to keep away from her during combat. 

A-1 also has a number of abilities only held by androids such as thermal vision, night vision, object scanners, access to information databases, etc. 

Many of her other abilities remain hidden for the time being. 

Cyrus

The relationship between A-1 and Cyrus is an odd one. They aren't friends by any means, however they aren't exactly enemies either. A-1 tends to interfere with Cyrus work whenever tasked to. This usually involves intercepting government data before Cyrus, preventing Cyrus from gathering data, and preventing Cyrus from interfering with government resource transports. 

A-1 doesn't hold any ill will towards Cyrus per se; she is just following orders from her boss. Whenever the two meet A-1 often questions why Cyrus chooses to make an enemy of the government. Cyrus will usually tell A-1 that she "wouldn't understand" as an android programed to follow their every order, which confuses A-1.

As of right now, the two remain as enemies of sorts. 

Jade

A-1 has yet to run into Jade, however she knows of her existence. This was brought up during one of A-1's  conversations with Cyrus, much to Cyrus's surprise. A-1 holds no ill will towards Jade either, however she has warned that Jade "watches where she steps", as some people have their eyes on her. 

• A-1 was created very impulsively. I felt it was weird that there wasn't exactly an antagonistic character in the story yet other than the government itself. A-1 was created to fill this role.

  • Even though I call her an antagonist, that also isn't really correct. A-1 is not out to hurt Cyrus or Jade; while she does go against them, there are moments when she does help them out. 

• A-1 is largely inspired by Saya Kisaragi from Blood-C and Raven Branwen from RWBY. 

  • A-1's weapon takes direct inspiration from Raven's weapon, Omen.
