US State California declares state emergency over monkeypox outbreak
Governor of California declares state emergency on Monday in response of the monkeypox outbreak. The action will facilitate coordination with all departments in California government to help California get more vaccines.
California has received more than 61000 vaccines till now and has distributed over 25000 doses. The state plans to simpler the paperwork in community vaccine centers to increase the number of vaccines distributed to citizens.
Cases in monkeypox outbreak has risen over 5800 cases till now, 827 cases in California, 2nd after New York. In addition to California, Illinois and New York have also declared states of emergency earlier.
