My Experience

I bring over 20 years of experience in client-facing roles and 15 years in therapeutic and community services. My practice is rooted in trauma-informed, inclusive, and embodied approaches that honour each individual’s unique journey. I’ve worked with diverse and often marginalised communities, supporting mental health, emotional wellbeing, and personal transformation.

As one of the inaugural Australian Mental Health Leaders Fellows (2018–2019), I’ve contributed to national-level mental health reform and have a published research project in this space. My facilitation work spans women’s circles, healing groups, and professional development trainings across multiple states, with consistently positive feedback and demonstrable outcomes for participants.

Community service is a deep value of mine,  I’ve volunteered with the Australian Red Cross for three years, receiving a formal Service Award, and have endeavored to be an active contributor in every community I’ve been part of.

Awards, Committees & Professional Memberships

My leadership, commitment to service, and academic pursuits have been recognised at both state and national levels. Notable highlights include:

• Australian Mental Health Leaders Fellowship (National Mental Health Commission & University of Melbourne, 2018–2019): Contributed to systemic reform and completed research publication

• Jean Teasdale Prize in Social Work (University of Western Australia, 2016): Awarded for prominent merit in the Master of Social Work program

• Red Cross Service Award (2015): This award recognises meritorious service to Australian Red Cross.

• WA Vocational Student of the Year (2015): State winner, and national finalist, recognised for excellence in vocational education and training

• University of New England Award (2013): For leadership and community involvement

I’ve served on various advisory and steering committees, including:

• Gosnells Community Legal Centre Management Committee (2017–2018)

• National Skills Week Steering Committee (2022)

• VET Alumni for the Department of Education and Training (2017)

• Youth Advisory and WA Divisional Advisory Boards with the Australian Red Cross (2013–2015)

• Represented Australia at the Global Youth Conference (International Federation of Red Cross, 2013) and at national-level Red Cross events including the Centenary Summit and 100th AGM

I’ve also been a mentor for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and continue to offer social work supervision as part of my integrative support services.
