HMPS IKS - World Social Work Day 2025: Membangun Harmoni Antargenerasi

World Social Work Day (WSWD) adalah peringatan global yang diadakan setiap tahun untuk merayakan peran pekerja sosial dalam membangun masyarakat yang lebih adil dan sejahtera. Peringatan ini menjadi momen refleksi dan aksi bagi pekerja sosial, akademisi, mahasiswa, dan masyarakat luas untuk memahami serta memperkuat peran profesi ini dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan sosial. 

Dalam rangka memperingati World Social Work Day (WSWD) 2025, Program Studi Ilmu Kesejahteraan Sosial UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta menyelenggarakan rangkaian kegiatan dengan tema "Weaving Intergenerational Harmony: The Key to Future Wellbeing".

Tema ini menyoroti pentingnya membangun hubungan harmonis antargenerasi dalam menciptakan kesejahteraan sosial yang berkelanjutan. Tema ini relevan dengan berbagai fenomena sosial saat ini, di mana perbedaan generasi sering kali menjadi tantangan dalam komunikasi, pemahaman, dan kolaborasi dalam masyarakat, termasuk dalam dunia pekerja sosial. 

Kegiatan ini merupakan hasil kolaborasi antara Prodi IKS dengan Laboratorium Pengembangan Profesi Pekerjaan Sosial (LP3S), Himpunan Mahasiswa Program Studi (HMPS) IKS, Alumni Kesejahteraan Sosial (AKSES), dan Independen Pekerja Sosial Profesional Indonesia (IPSPI) DIY.

Agenda kegiatan WSWD 2025, yaitu:

1. Campaign 

Campaign adalah kegiatan pertama yang diselenggarakan pada Sabtu, 15 Maret 2025, tepatnya di depan Benteng Vredeburg, Yogyakarta atau disekitar titik Nol Kilometer. Campaign berlangsung dari pukul 15.45 sampai 17.00 WIB. Bentuk kampanye yang dilakukan meliputi orasi publik dari salah satu mahasiswa IKS yang menyuarakan pentingnya harmoni antargenerasi. Selain orasi, juga dilakukan pemasangan banner sebagai media visual untuk menarik perhatian masyarakat. Dilanjutkan penyebaran brosur yang berisi informasi edukatif mengenai relasi lintas generasi dalam profesi pekerja sosial, dilengkapi dengan ilustrasi menarik serta barcode yang mengarah ke media sosial Prodi, HMPS IKS, LP3S, AKSES, dan IPSPI DIY.  

2. Talkshow

Agenda yang kedua berupa Talkshow yang bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang peran generasi dalam dunia pekerja sosial, mengidentifikasi tantangan komunikasi dan kerja sama antar generasi serta cara untuk mengatasinya. Kegiatan yang di selenggarakan pada Senin, 18 Maret 2025 yang bertempat di Lobby lantai 1 atau di Selasar Fakultas Dakwah dan Komunikasi UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta yang dihadiri oleh seluruh Dosen dan mahasiswa Ilmu Kesejahteraan Sosial, anggota Independen Pekerja Sosial Profesional Indonesia (IPSPI) DIY, dan Alumni Kesejahteraan Sosial (AKSES). Acara dimulai dari pukul 15.00 sampai 18.00 WIB. 

Muhammad Izzul Haq, Ph.D., selaku Ketua Program Studi Ilmu Kesejahteraan Sosial, mengatakan bahwa kegiatan peringatan ini merupakan kesempatan penting bagi mahasiswa, para praktisi, dan masyarakat untuk lebih mengenal dan menghargai peran pekerjaan sosial dalam menciptakan keadilan sosial.

Sesi diskusi menghadirkan narasumber dari berbagai latar belakang, yaitu:

- Andayani, SIP, MSW (Dosen IKS UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta),

- Arroisyi Ramadhan, S.Sos (Alumni IKS UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta),

- Kristina Ririn Kristanti, S.ST (Dewan Penasihat IPSPI DIY).

Kegiatan yang dimoderatori oleh Alcyva Anindita Aisha Putri, Mahasiswa IKS angkatan 2021.

Selain sesi diskusi, peserta juga berkesempatan mengikuti sesi tanya jawab (Q&A) dengan para narasumber untuk menggali lebih dalam perspektif tentang interaksi antargenerasi dalam dunia pekerja sosial.

Kegiatan ditutup dengan seluruh peserta WSWD mengikuti sesi buka puasa bersama dengan menu soto yang disediakan sebanyak 150 porsi.

Kegiatan sukses dilaksanakan dengan lancar. Diharapkan dalam acara World Social Work Day 2025 melalui kegiatan Campaign dan Talkshow dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan membangun aksi nyata dalam memperkuat hubungan antargenerasi dalam dunia pekerja sosial, mengembangkan strategi komunikasi dan kolaborasi antargenerasi, lebih menyoroti perbedaan perspektif dalam dunia pekerja sosial, dan sebagai akademisi dan calon praktisi kesejahteraan sosial, mahasiswa Ilmu Kesejahteraan Sosial agar memiliki tanggung jawab untuk memahami bagaimana membangun harmoni antargenerasi agar setiap individu dapat saling mendukung dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat.

HMPS IKS - World Social Work Day (WSWD) 2025: Building Intergenerational Harmony

World Social Work Day (WSWD) is a global commemoration held annually to celebrate the role of social workers in building a more just and prosperous society. This commemoration is a moment of reflection and action for social workers, academics, students, and the wider community to understand and strengthen the role of this profession in facing various social challenges. 

In order to commemorate World Social Work Day (WSWD) 2025, the Social Welfare Study Program of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta organized a series of activities with the theme “Weaving Intergenerational Harmony: The Key to Future Wellbeing”.

This theme highlights the importance of building harmonious relationships between generations in creating sustainable social welfare. This theme is relevant to various social phenomena today, where generational differences are often a challenge in communication, understanding, and collaboration in society, including in the world of social work. 

This activity is the result of collaboration between the IKS Study Program and the Social Work Professional Development Laboratory (LP3S), the IKS Study Program Student Association (HMPS), Social Welfare Alumni (AKSES), and Independent Indonesian Professional Social Workers (IPSPI) DIY.

The agenda of WSWD 2025 activities are:

1. Campaign 

Campaign is the first activity held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, precisely in front of Fort Vredeburg, Yogyakarta or around the Zero Kilometer point. The campaign took place from 15.45 to 17.00 WIB. The campaign included a public oration from one of the IKS students who voiced the importance of intergenerational harmony. In addition to speeches, banners were also installed as visual media to attract public attention. Followed by the distribution of brochures containing educational information about cross-generational relations in the social work profession, equipped with attractive illustrations and barcodes that lead to social media Prodi, HMPS IKS, LP3S, AKSES, and IPSPI DIY.  

2. Talkshow

The second agenda is in the form of a Talkshow which aims to provide in-depth insight into the role of generations in the world of social workers, identifying communication and cooperation challenges between generations and how to overcome them. The activity was held on Monday, March 18, 2025 which took place in the 1st floor lobby or in the hallway of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta which was attended by all lecturers and students of Social Welfare Science, members of the Independent Indonesian Professional Social Workers (IPSPI) DIY, and Social Welfare Alumni (AKSES). The event started from 15.00 to 18.00 WIB. 

Muhammad Izzul Haq, Ph.D., as Head of the Social Welfare Science Study Program, said that this commemoration activity is an important opportunity for students, practitioners, and the community to get to know and appreciate the role of social work in creating social justice.

The discussion session presented speakers from various backgrounds, namely:

- Andayani, SIP, MSW (Lecturer of IKS UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta),

- Arroisyi Ramadhan, S.Sos (Alumni of IKS UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta),

- Kristina Ririn Kristanti, S.ST (Advisory Board of IPSPI DIY).

The activity was moderated by Alcyva Anindita Aisha Putri, IKS student class of 2021.

Apart from the discussion session, participants also had the opportunity to take part in a question and answer session (Q&A) with the speakers to dig deeper into perspectives on intergenerational interactions in the world of social work.

The activity was closed with all WSWD participants participating in an iftar session together with a soup menu provided as many as 150 portions.

The activity was successfully carried out smoothly. It is hoped that the World Social Work Day 2025 event through Campaign and Talkshow activities can increase understanding and build real action in strengthening intergenerational relationships in the world of social work, develop intergenerational communication and collaboration strategies, highlight more differences in perspectives in the world of social work, and as academics and prospective social welfare practitioners, Social Welfare Science students to have the responsibility to understand how to build intergenerational harmony so that each individual can support each other in social life.
