Hita City est une ville qui a toujours vécu en harmonie avec la nature, profitant des bienfaits de ses montagnes, de ses rivières et de ses forêts. Depuis l'Antiquité, les hommes vivent en harmonie avec la nature et cultivent la production des biens nécessaires à la vie quotidienne.

La construction d'une société durable est devenue un défi majeur à travers le monde, et de nouvelles valeurs telles que les ODD et la consommation éthique sont réclamées. Cependant, les industries de Hita pratiquent la coexistence avec la nature de manière naturelle depuis bien avant que le terme ne soit inventé. C’est une attitude dont nous pouvons être fiers dans le monde entier.

Nous espérons que cette exposition permettra aux visiteurs de découvrir le charme et l'histoire d'une production en harmonie avec la nature d'Hita, et de ressentir l'importance de transmettre cet esprit aux générations futures.

Hita City is a town that has thrived by making use of the blessings of its mountains, rivers, and forests, living in harmony with nature. Since ancient times, its people have fostered craftsmanship essential for daily life while coexisting with the natural environment.

Today, achieving a sustainable society is a major global challenge, and new values such as the SDGs and ethical consumption are increasingly emphasized. However, the industries of Hita have long embodied harmonious coexistence with nature, well before such terms came into common use. This attitude is something that Hita can take pride in on the world stage.

We hope that this exhibition will allow visitors to appreciate the history and appeal of Hita’s craftsmanship in harmony with nature, and to recognize the importance of passing this spirit on to future generations.

日田市は、山や川、森の恵みを生かし、自然とともに歩んできた町です。人々は、太古の昔から自然と調和し、暮らしに必要なものづくりを育んできました。

世界では持続可能な社会の実現が大きな課題となり、SDGsやエシカル消費といった新たな価値観が求められています。しかし日田の産業はそうした言葉が生まれる以前から、自然との共生を当たり前のこととして実践してきました。その姿勢は、世界に誇れるものです。

この展示会を通じて、日田の自然と共にあるものづくりの魅力と歴史を知り、未来へとその精神を受け継ぐ意義を感じていただければ幸いです。
