This session examines internationalization in practice at a Japanese national university, using Gunma University’s Global Frontier Leaders (GFL) Program and related initiatives as a case study. It highlights how these programs are designed and implemented, what students learn through them, and the challenges institutions face when pursuing internationalization beyond mobility focused models.
