More Info about School Counselors:
School counselors serve ALL the students at a school to help them be their best. We:
Teach Bullying Prevention lessons to all students, and assist students in learning healthy problem solving skills during the school day
Work with students one on one and in groups to provide help with topics such as friendship, self esteem, grief/loss, and stress
Facilitate classroom lessons in each classroom, such as mindfulness techniques, kindness, and stress management
Organize school-wide special events, such as Start with Hello, The Great Kindness Challenge week and College & Career Week
Connect students & families with school and community resources
Consult with parents, teachers, and administrators to create behavior management plans & ensure success for every student
