Zagazig University is one of the Egyptian Universities that was established to contribute side by side with other universities to the renaissance of Egvpt and the elevation of its status. The university started as a branch of Ain Shams Universitv in the academic year 1970/1969.
Zagazig University is the seventh Egyptian university in terms of the history of its establishment. The university has made great strides in all fields to keep pace with that modern era.
The university has chosen a slogan for it, the image of the great national leader (Ahmed Orabi), The son of Al-Sharkia. who stood in the face of brutal colonialism and called for the freedom of our dear Egypt.
And Law No. 18 of 4/14/1974 AD was issued to establish Zagazig University.
In November 1976, it was approved to establish a branch of the University in Benha. In August 1, 2005 the presidential decision to establish Benha University was declared.
After that, faculties were established, reaching to 23 faculties and institutes in various disciplines, besides 4 other faculties under construction, which are spread over a wide regional area in the governorate of Sharkia.
EPSF Zagazig Is the scientific association for pharmacy students in Zagazig University.
It is a professional non-governmental and non-protitable organization.
It represents the Egyptian pharmaceutical students' federation in Zagazig University.
It was founded in 1982 and it's considered as one of the six founders associations of EPSF.
It was the best association in EPSF in 2011.
It was one of the Circle of excellence in EPS in 2021/2022.

Mohamed Ali Pasha. the founder of modern Egypt. founded Zagazig in the 19th Century to dig canals for irrigation in the eastern section of the Nile Delta, cultivating more land and enriching the delta region. In 1883. Zagazig became the largest and most important city in the eastern Delta region. replacing the town of Belbeis. All the governmental bodies and institutes were transferred step by step from Belbeis to Zagazig, and employees worked in temporary offices before the first governmental institute was established in Zagazig in 1836.
Zagazig is a large city along the eastern section of the Nile Delta in Egypt. Zagazig remains one of the Nile Delta's largest and most important cities, along with Mansoura, Tanta, and El Mahala.
