Modern University for Technology and Information (MTI) was founded by Presidential Decree No. 430 in 2004 as a private university under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education, with its own independent legal entity.
Teaching at MTI began with the Faculties of Computer Science and Business Management in the 2005/2006 academic year, as authorized by the Minister of Higher Education through Decree No. 2079, issued on August 7, 2005.In the 2006/2007 academic year, Presidential Decree No. 350 established the Faculties of Mass Communication and Engineering. Later, in the 2009/2010 academic year, Presidential Decree No. 301 added the Faculties of Pharmacy and Nursing to the university. Teaching in these two faculties began following Ministerial Decree No. 3195 from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, dated October 7, 2009.
On 11/11/2011, the journey of establishing EPSF-MTI began when our co-founder, Ms. Noura Abdo, collaborated with EPSF-Pharos during their 16th Annual Congress and secured approval to establish the association known today as EPSF-MTI.
In EPSF-MTI's first year as an official EPS member, Ms. Noura Abdo served as President, alongside board members Mr. Wessam Hamdy, Ms. Ghada Mohamed, and Ms. Amany Mohamed, with additional support from some members. During this year, EPSF-MTI held its first events, including a hepatitis awareness campaign. By the final General Assembly (GA) of 2011/2012, EPSF-MTI was recognized as the 2nd best new association of the year.
In the second year (2012/2013), there were initially no active members in the association. Ms. Noura Abdo organized an orientation day to introduce EPS's values to new students, along with a workshop that encouraged students to explore student activities, known as UP. Inspired by the EPS vision, these students formed the core of EPSF-MTI's membership for that year.
They kicked off the year with impactful events, such as:
Patent counseling sessions.
Student honors and Smile Day.
A diabetes awareness campaign at various locations, including the university, an elder home, the Pyramids, and Nile Country Club.
The third year marked a pivotal phase for EPSF-MTI, as it attended EPS's 18th Congress hosted by EPSF-Tanta (TPSS) for the first time. EPSF-MTI also participated in all EPS board workshops, increasing its engagement in EPS's activities. This year, EPSF-MTI's members drafted the association's first constitution and designed its official logo, representing the association in all documents and photos. The association introduced a structured point system and adopted the EPS code of ethics. The original logo of EPSF-MTI was later updated to a design that remains in use as a representation of the association to this day.

Between these landmarks stand architectural treasures from the Roman, Arab, and Ottoman eras, giving Cairo its uniquely layered identity.El Mokattam, one of Cairo's most notable residential areas, is positioned on the El Mokattam plateau, offering expansive views of Cairo and the Pyramids.
