When cutlery and cut throats come together in a kitchen, murder is sure to follow, such is the case of the Ninth Annual Fall Mystery Drama at the Lake Placid High School on September 27, 2002, at 7 p.m.
The fanciest restaurant in all of Lake Placid and maybe even the Olympic Village has served kings and presidents, now it has served up a far from appetizing entre of murder.
No one really expects the staff to be concerned about the victim, but the least they could do is be sympathetic to how a dead man on 'the porch' might affect business.
Audience members watch the first act and glean information about a murder, then they travel around Mirror Lake -- by bus -- interviewing characters at various clue sites.
The audience has approximately an hour to gather more 'evidence' and then they write down the character who committed the murder. After the character interview, a delicious dessert will be served. Shortly afterwards the final act is presented, revealing the murderer.
Prizes will be awarded to the correct responses.
Ticket prices for the Dessert Theatre are $6 per adult and student price is $4 each. The fun begins at 7 p.m. in the Lake Placid High School Auditorium. For more information contact Peggy Plank, (518) 523-2474 ext. 4130.
