Hot Box Murder
Harvey Wallbanger was a rat, A dead rat now. And for a couple of competing researchers, he was going to be their personal lab rat. But as a dead lab rat he has no value to the researchers or the Mayor who was going to make Harvey the poster boy for his dispensary.
The murder of Harvey Wallbanger is the setting for the murder mystery play “HotBox Murder.” With two performances. The show is an audience participation play and gives the audience a chance to solve the homicide.
The first performance is at the Saranac Waterfront Lodge on April 21. Happy hour at 6:02 p.m. and show at 7:03 p.m. 518/619-4000.
With a second performance at Living Good Restaurant on April 22. 518/643-2020
Just recently Wilmington Lake legalized Cannabis Dispensaries and like so many things that happen and get voted on, there were unintended consequences. Some were looking to profit off of the devil’s cabbage, while others were organizing marches to stop Wilmington Lake from becoming shrouded in hashish haze.
The playgoer’s help is required because each suspect has a tale to tell and each story is different. Though they were all aware of the crime! This play is more about small towns and politics than cannabis.
The victim was legendary when it came to ‘Satan’s Spinach.’ Harvey Wallbanger was more than a casual user, he was the layman’s Cheech and Chong. Wallbanger had consumed enough of the wacky weed that his skin had started to turn green, making him look like a Christmas tree waiting for the chipper.
At first, it was believed that Wallbanger’s death was natural, but then water hemlock was found in his grinder. It was murder and the audience will have to find out who had access to the water hemlock and how did they get it into Harvey.
Also suspected are Sister Margarita (the greenhouse queen) and Cherry Cordial (town goodie two shoes). Both were using Harvey for their own benefit.
The cast starts with Jessica Deeb, Janeen Streeter, Jameson Batt, Jon Fremante and Peggy Orman.
