The next performance of “Death of Drama” will have a historic and moving nuance to the show. Moving because while the show will start and end at Basil & Wicks in North Creek, the evening’s activities will move throughout the town using the North Creek Business Alliance Shuttle.
Participants will meet at Basil & Wicks on November 6, 2016, at 5:40 p.m. and then will soon board the shuttle at 6:01 p.m. for a quick trip to the Historic Wevertown Hall where the first act of the murder mystery will be staged. This building once housed the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Organization.
One would think the drama ends when the director of a small town community theatre is found dead; you would be wrong, it is also when the comedy and conniving begins. As is the case with all Gem*Boy Production mysteries, local history and crazy characters are involved in this comedy caper.
Staring in the show are Hannah Jay, Barbara Westbrook, Kim Smith, Robin Jay and Molly Smith, though the real stars are the audience members as they try to solve the mystery.
After the first act it will be on to Laura’s, where the audience becomes detectives and are in charge of interviewing the suspects about the unsavory ending for Chaingo DeLeon. DeLeon, the director for all productions of the Antler Lake Community Theatre (ALCT) was found dead, center stage, in bad lighting. Any one of the characters on stage could have done it
Don’t miss the bus for the November 6, show and make your reservations at Basil & Wicks, 518/251-3100.
