on the river of time
there is nature, there is man
and forever there are River Gods

A young woman, drawn to the Mississippi River, its power and history, becomes part of the swirling waters and lives simultaneously in the present and the past.

When twenty-three year old Liz is taken by the river while diving to observe the wreck of an old paddlesteamer, identical twenty-year old Beth steps onto a bank 150 years earlier.

Amid the majesty of the 1800s Mississippi River, in the age of Mark Twain, Beth discovers her Native American roots and a bond to the river. With disturbing premonitions, she feels part of the river’s future.

In today’s technological age, Liz eventually confronts the truth of quantum entanglement, a life split apart in two times. Even as she works to protect the river’s future, she sees and feels part of the river’s past.
