The highlight of the flight was Marisa showing us the engagement ring Greg had given her the night before. It was a great start to our trip.
We arrived in Dublin around 9:00 am. We picked up the two rental cars with Gary, Jeff and Shelly in one and Greg, Marisa and me in the other. Both cars got lost on the way to the hotel but we eventually made it. We left our luggage at the Paramount Hotel and set out to explore the city.
We had lunch at the Porterhouse Pub just kitty-corner from the hotel.
At 3:00 pm we did a group tour on an electric bike with Lazy Bike Tours. It was a great way to see some of the sites. Marisa's bike lost power when the fuse became loose. Greg took over that bike and we continued on.
On the bench to the right is a bronze sculpture by Canadian sculptor Timothy Schmalz that depicts Jesus as a homeless person, sleeping on a park bench. The original sculpture was installed at Regis College, University of Toronto, Toronto in early 2013. Other casts have been installed in numerous places around the US. The first sculpture outside of North America was installed here on the grounds of Christ Church Cathedral.
That night we had dinner at Ciao Bella Roma. Food was okay but the service was poor.
