Continuing to drive the Ring of Kerry we headed off to Dingle. We had hoped to take a boat to the island of Skellig Michael and then hike the 600+ steps to the summit to view a sixth century monastic settlement. The seas were too rough so all trips were canceled for the day. After viewing videos of the islands, and the steps, that is probably a good thing. None of the steps have a handrail and it is a very steep climb.
At the Skelligs Chocolate Factory we were able to sample all their wares.
John Benny's Pub became a favorite spot while we were in Dingle. The bartender, Patrick, took great care of us.
