writing: Brainstorm an idea for another personal narrative (story about YOU). Create a circle map and sketch of your story.

Tuesday 5.5.20

reading:

  • practice your sight words or fluency

  • practice spelling words (You could make the words with ABC magnets or write/type them in Seesaw and illustrate each word.)

  • Journeys Reader's Notebook pages 215-217 (links at bottom of page)

  • read "Winners Never Quit" or another story

  • Retell the beginning, middle, and end in order with as many events as you can remember. Include as many parts of the story structure as you can (characters, setting, events, etc.). You can do this on Seesaw or to your parent or another person in your house.

writing: Read the story you wrote yesterday. Read it out loud and add or change sentences to tell how things sounded, looked, smelled, tasted, or felt.

  • read and practice your expression and rate and/or practice your sight words

math: Origo lesson 12.4

writing: Edit your personal narrative by checking for capital letters at the beginning of your sentence, periods at the ends of sentences, and any spelling changes you need to make so that you and others can read your work. Think about how to end your story so that it feels finished.

writing: Publish your personal narrative by drawing a picture that matches your words. Then type or write it in your best handwriting. When you're done, take a picture and add it to your Seesaw or email it to your teacher.
