When you swipe your credit card to pay, you are inculcating a bad financial habit.
With the rise of several Credit Card firms, you would be made to believe the narrative: "Spend money via Credit Cards, because it is good for you financially".
This stupid logic gets reinforced because you hear it from several influencers (half of those videos are sponsored by the way).
Let me explain what happens to you when you start relying on your credit cards excessively:
1. We give up on our frugality. Do you know why our parents were able to give us a comfortable life despite not having significant incomes?
Because they were not stupid-- they saved first and then spent from those savings on non-essential expenses.
2. The tangible feeling of "seeing" your money being spent makes you more prudent in terms of making wise choices.
Convenience of anything leads to unnecessary excess.
For example, I used to go to restaurants, may be like 2-3 times/month. With Zomato and Swiggy (especially if I have these installed on my phone), I tend to order much more.
Credit card offers more conveniences. That is it -- that is the reason why an average person in the US is in debt.
