The statue was long and broad. It was a bison, an endangered species, magnificently decorated and large. The monument functioned as a tribute to the great beasts. In the city square where you could find this bison was a coffee shop and a bookstore. It fit in with the architecture perfectly.
Sadly, the statue was cursed with consciousness. It hated life, or what amounted to his life, which amounted to being perfectly still and getting super hot from the sun. Truly, the great bison's soul was trapped in this statue, and it wanted out. It prayed to the human people to come free him.
