About the role:
The Secretary is responsible for ensuring that minutes are accurately recorded for all exec committee meetings.
They are tasked with communicating the schedule and agenda of future exec meetings to exec members.
They must accurately manage the group’s calendar of events and activities, which will be used by the Communications Officer and Social Media Coordinator to advertise events.
The Secretary will check over policies and other legal documents and ensure these are published and accessible to all members.
Responsible for ensuring we have a GDPR data protection policy in sync with a data retention policy (schedule for retention and eventual destruction of data records), and that these are being followed.
They will ensure attendance figures at socials and other stats are recorded so that these statistics can be published at the annual general meeting.
The Secretary will work alongside the Equality Officer to ensure that attendance of minority ethnic members and other persons who may require asylum support letters in the future are accurately recorded, in order to help with this process.
