Quite literally the mother of the group, Heidi has taken on the dual role of Chair of the executive committee, whilst also the Coordinator of our Spectrum subgroup. She is passionate about supporting our LGBT+ pan-disabled and neurodiverse membership and ensuring our activities are accessible to everyone.
About the role:
The Chair is responsible for managing Stockport LGBT+ PLUS's executive committee and ensuring fair moderation.
They will outline the agenda for upcoming exec committee meetings.
They are responsible for ensuring that the exec reaches and enacts decisions surrounding legality, business and the general running of the group.
It is usual for either the Chair or Vice Chair to be appointed by the exec committee to chair and mediate internal disputes/conflicts within the group membership.
The Chair and Vice Chair will also provide advice to the exec committee, in particular the safeguarding and equality officers regarding behavioral policies and misconduct procedures.
