About: The Tacoma Fire Department has three medical staff officer units based at headquarters at Station 1. While most local departments consider an MSO to be an EMS supervisor, TFD uses an EMS unit to be the EMS supervisor. I'm not fully sure the role of TFD MSOs. The firefighting wiki also refers to MSOs using 2017 models, but this is clearly a bit older.
