NICU PGY1 Intro Rotation (2 week rotation)

The following EPAs should be focused on during this rotation:

  • FOD2: Managing low risk deliveries and initiating resuscitation (link to form)

  • FOD7: Performing basic pediatric procedures: mask ventilation (link to form)

  • COD9: Performing core pediatric procedures. Procedures for this rotation include: IVs, NGs, urinary catheterization (link to form)

You can also start to work on the following EPAs during this rotation:

  • FOD4: Assessing, diagnosing, and initiating management for newborns with common problems (link to form)

  • FOD7: Performing basic pediatric procedures. Procedures for this rotation include: bag valve mask ventilation and lumbar puncture in neonates and infants (link to form)

  • COD9: Performing core pediatric procedures. Procedures for this rotation include: UA/UV lines (link to form)
