Community Peds COD Rotation

The following EPAs should be focused on during this rotation:

  • COD4: Diagnosing and managing pediatric patient (link to form)

  • COD5: Providing ongoing management for patients with chronic conditions (link to form)

  • COD6: Assessing and managing patients with mental health issues (link to form)

  • COD7: Assessing and managing patients with developmental, behavioural, and school issues (link to form)


You can also start to work on the following EPAs during this rotation:

  • FOD2: Managing low risk deliveries and initiating resuscitation (add link to form)

  • FOD3 A and B: Providing well newborn care ( link to forms : form A formB)

  • COD2: Resuscitating and stabilizing critically ill patients (link to form)

  • COD3: Assessing patients with medical and/or psychosocial complexity (link to form)

  • COD8: Recognizing and managing suspected child maltreatment and/or neglect (link to form)

  • COD9: Performing core pediatric procedures. Procedures for this rotation include: Access port-a-cath, CPR with defibrillation, ear curettage, G-tube re-insertion, immunizations (IM and Subq, intubation (neonates/infants), IV insertions, surfactant administrtion (neonate), umbilical arterial line, umbilical venous line (link to form)

  • COD11: Coordinating transitions of care for patients with medical or psychosocial complexity (link to form)
