The following EPAs  should be focused on during this rotation:

• FOD1: Recognizing deteriorating and/or critically ill patients and initiating stabilization and management (link to form)

• FOD10: Transferring clinical information between health care providers during handover (link to form)

• COD2: Resuscitating and stabilizing critically ill patients (ink to form)

• COD3: Assessing patients with medical and/or psychosocial complexity (link to form)

• COD4: Diagnosing and managing pediatric patients (link to form)

You can also start to work on the following EPAs during this rotation:

• FOD7: Performing basic pediatric procedures

Procedures include: bag valve mask ventilation; cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ventilation and massage, defibrillation in core); intraosseous injection; lumbar puncture in neonates and infants; changing tracheostomy (link to form)

• FOD9: Documenting clinical encounters  (link to form)

• COD10: Leading discussions with patients, families and/or other health care professionals in emotionally charged situations (link to form)

• COD11: Coordinating transitions of care for patients with medical or psychosocial complexity (link to form)
