American born, but Australian raised, I have been an ocean enthusiast since I was a kid. I completed my undergraduate degree in Marine Biology at Northeastern University (Boston, USA) and my PhD in Marine Ecology at UNSW Sydney (Sydney, Australia). My previous research has focused on the adaptive capacity of marine invertebrates and macroalgae under climate change stressors. My current research in the EMEL lab considers how community interactions with seawalls can inform future designs of sustainable infrastructure around Singapore. We aim to increase levels of biodiversity on designed shorelines and maximise habitat structure for marine communities.
