Nurse Room
The health clinic at our school plays a crucial role in promoting the well-being of our students and staff. This health clinic policy outlines the guidelines and procedures to ensure the provision of quality healthcare services and the maintenance of a safe and supportive environment.
OPEN FOR SERVICE DURING:
Monday to Thursday 7:20 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Friday 7:20 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Trained healthcare professionals, such as nurses or medical staff, will be responsible for operating the health clinic and providing basic healthcare services.
The health clinic staff will assess and address minor illnesses, injuries, and emergencies that occur during school hours. However, it is important to note that the health clinic is not intended to replace primary healthcare providers or emergency medical services.
Access to Nurse Room

1. Students must obtain permission from their teachers or seek a pass to visit the nurse room during class time. In cases of urgent medical needs, students should inform their teacher immediately. And if student is outside the classroom,studentmustgotothenurseroom rightaway.
2. Only patients are allowed inside the nurse room. Relatives, friends, and classmates are requested to wait outside.
3. A student will be allowed to rest in the nurse room for an appropriate period of time. If the student has not improved, the parents/guardian will be asked to pick up the student from the school.
4. A student being sent home by the nurse must be picked up at the nurse room by the parent /guardian, who will sign a release form.
5. Exemption from Physical Education (P.E.) class will be issued for only a day. A student requiring additional days will be referred to an outside physician.
6. If medication has been prescribed by the student’s physician and is to be taken during school hours, the nurse will administer the medication in compliance with the following policy:
The medication must be properly labeled as to the student's name, the medication's name, the dosage, the time the medication is to be taken, and the physician's name.
There should be a note from the parent/guardian authorizing the nurse to administer the medication.
