Teachers at EES follow a grade-level or team year long plan that specifically outlines when all students will be directly taught the 7 Habits and leadership principles through Leader in Me curriculum or teacher-developed equivalent lessons. Lessons result in higher-order thinking, encourage internalization, and foster a desire for real-world application.

Teachers are encouraged to observe LIM lessons through out the year. Admin or peers give feedback on lessons. It's a great opportunity for staff improve on their delivery, as well as giving peers ideas on how to teach a lesson in their own class.

Indirect teaching of the habits is happening everyday at EES. Students are familiar with the language and are aware of the expectations of our school. New staff learn a lot about the habits from our students.

The 7 Habits and our Cree culture are woven together. Every Friday, students attend land-based learning classes that are also integrated with the 7 Habits.
