Schoolwide, regularly scheduled formal and informal Student-Led Conferences at EES are in place. Students use Leadership Notebooks to plan for and lead a goal oriented, reflective conversation about progress toward leadership, academic, and personal goals with their families, adult mentors, or peers.

Celebration of Learning
Celebration of Learning
Every year at EES instead of Parent Teacher Interviews we have a Celebration of Learning. These are designed to let the students show off their speaking, presenting and leadership skills to their parents. They do this by introducing their teacher, giving a classroom tour and showing their parents their accomplishments for the term.

Reading Buddies
Reading Buddies
At EES we encourage reading buddies between grades. This gives the older kids a chance to be good role models and help the younger children with their reading. The younger children get a chance to practice reading out loud and spending time with older peers and observe what good leaders do and say. The awasiswak love their time together and look forward to their weekly visits.

Leadership Day
Leadership Day
Ermineskin Elementary school opened the doors to guests and celebrated all of the great things that we accomplished with the Leader in Me. We spotlighted the students and gave them an opportunity to show the community of Maskwacis what great leaders they are.
The students gave classroom and school tours, were greeters, provided entertainment and participated in a discussion panel. The awasisak did and amazing job representing our school.
