Every student at EES creates personal Wildly Important Goals at the beginning of each school year. Then weekly or biweekly appointments are held where the teacher can support, coach, and provide strategies for them to achieve their goals or create new goals.
At EES we want to push our students to their greatest potential, having regular check-ins with our students and their WIGs allows them to be pushed and challenged.
In addition to teacher-student check-ins we also have our children doing check-Ins with each other. Our students hold each accountable.

In grade 1 home reading is a wildly important goal across all classrooms. Each child has a goal to reach 100 books.
Mastering personal and social skill based goals are important goal s across the grade 1 classrooms. These are daily goals each child works on. Encouragement and modelling is provided each day to support these goals.
