Effective communication across platforms is critical to a librarian's role in supporting the curriculum across contents, promoting access to resources, managing staff and integrating technology to support teaching and learning. In the digital age, it is necessary to be able to market, advocate, promote and communicate library issues and needs in online spaces in addition to traditional communication. To engage in dialogue and secure support from administration, staff and the community, I use written and verbal communication and diverse media and formats like wiki pages, blogs, twitter pages, protopages and multimedia presentations.Strong communication skills allow me to have meaningful discussions with students, colleagues and parents as well as be an advocate for programs and ideas that support teaching and learning.
