As you proceed with your adventure in Dragon Village M, you will start to accumulate a lot of gold. Its initial uses are apparent - you need it to enhance runes, to level up your dragons using materials, to rank up your dragons, and a hundred other things.
You've accumulated several million in gold, and your eye is drawn to Capsule Draw. Do I need all of this gold? you think. I think I have quite a bit to spare right now.
STOP.
Gold is such a much-needed resource that you need it in increasingly large quantities. I strongly advise you to hold onto it. This page will describe why and just how much you will need.
The following are the uses of gold:
You can gain gold from the following:
But you will also end up wishing to farm gold, and you can do so by:
I do not recommend buying gold with diamonds.
This is because you need gold in large amounts. It is easy to spend gold, but difficult to save it. It is wasteful to spend diamonds, which you can spend on things that are more difficult to obtain through other methods, on gold, a resource that be used in the blink of an eye.
Okay, so you know what gold is for. You get it: you shouldn't waste it. So which of its extensive uses should you use them on?
My advice is that gold should be used exclusively for raising your dragons. This means you can use it for all of the uses describe above, except for Capsule Draws and buying items from the Witch's Cauldron.
For Capsule Draws, you can do 1 or 2 Heroic Draws for Wings, if you are short on Wings, but I do not advise going any further than that. See the Capsule Draw section on the currency page for further elaboration.
For items from the Witch's Cauldron, you can buy Evolution Materials and Closeness Fruits with gold. I do not advise buying these as these items are so much more easily obtained by going into the respective dungeons, and spending gold on them is completely unnecessary.
The cost of skills up, rank ups, and level ups is not much. Where the costs truly lie are in Enhancement and Mastery. The respective pages contain tables of costs for each. For the sake of completion and convenience, however, I will also illustrate here how much gold you need in order to raise one dragon.
Let's take a dragon right in the middle that you will probably wish to raise yourself: Water Wonder. Here is a completely built Water Wonder:
This dragon has been ranked up to 6-stars, all its runes are +15, and it is at +6 enhancement and +10 Mastery level.
Let's assume that it was levelled up completely by grinding in Adventure, so there is no cost of leveling it up with materials. We will also assume that it was ranked up using fodder Rare dragons, and that the rough cost of getting 1 rune to +15 is 1,000,000 Gold.
Taking this into account, the following table illustrates the gold cost of raising a Heroic dragon.
This is how much gold you need to raise one Heroic dragon. The cost is considerably higher for Legendary dragons (and somewhat lower for Rare dragons). Just one dragon is already a significant investment - this is why you need to always have as much gold as possible on hand!
