Open the Shop menu, and you are overwhelmed by a selection of currencies and items you can purchase with them. What's more, ask people how to spend them or what to buy, you get different and possibly conflicting answers.
So let's take a look at each currency, how they are obtained, what they can be spent on, and what you should consider when using them.
The most standard type of currency in any game, and none the less precious in Dragon Village M. Take note of this now:
Gold is used to raise your dragons. These are some of the things you do to raise your dragons which require gold:
There is NO such thing as too much gold, as you will need it in increasingly large quantities.
The following are just a few of the places you can obtain gold:
See the article on gold for elaboration on why gold is important and how to get more of it.
The next most important and perhaps even more abundant currency is diamonds. You will always be in need of these, but never fear, as the game is very generous with diamonds. You use diamonds to:
As for what you should do with diamonds, see the article on diamonds.
You can obtain diamonds from:
The currency necessary to enter Adventure mode and most dungeons. When you being, you will be levelling up very fast and gaining Wings as quest rewards. As you proceed in the game, however, your supply of Wings will be soon begin to dwindle and you will have to look to replenishing them with other resources.
You naturally gain Wings:
You can also buy Wings with diamonds, either from the Shop or from the Witch's Cauldron.
I highly recommend buying Wings from the Witch's Cauldron whenever they appear on discount even if you don't need them at the current time. You will always be having to buy Wings later on (as long as you spend any amount of time on the game every day) that it is worth it to buy them cheaper whenever you can.
You can also obtain Wings from Capsule Draw. If you are in need of Wings, then you may wish to do 1 or 2 Heroic Draws to see if you gain any. If you do not after 1 or 2 draws, I do suggest simply buying Wings, as most other Capsule Draw Heroic-Legendary rewards are not worth the diamonds or gold.
A currency you can begin to collect after joining a Clan. You gain Clan Coins from:
You can use Clan Coins to buy:
Everything you can buy with Clan Coins is very much worth the cost, but one shines above the rest: the Absolute Legendary Egg. You may wish to neglect all other items and only focus on the Egg, or you may wish to save up for Absolute Eggs until you get a dragon you are very happy with, then spend the rest of your Clan Coins on other items. There is no bad way of spending Clan Coins!
A currency you will mostly pick up from Adventure mode and Explore. It can be used to buy:
It is recommended to use Amethysts only on EXP slimes.
If you buy runes, you can end up spending a lot of Amethysts for nothing but 3-star and 4-star runes. Thus, it is much better to spend Amethysts on EXP slimes. EXP slimes can be a great help in increasing your dragons' levels quickly.
You will start to see Mileage pretty early on. You gain 1 Mileage for every 30 diamonds you spend on Advanced Summoning.
This means that spending 3000 diamonds on Advanced Summon will give you 100 Mileage, and doing a discounted Summon of 2700 diamonds will give you 90 Mileage.
See the page on Summoning for advice on spending Mileage.
You gain Honor points from playing in the Colosseum. A victory gives you 4 Honor points and a defeat gives you 2 Honor points.
You also gain Honor points as a quest reward for playing or winning matches in the Colosseum a certain number of times.
With Honor points, you can buy:
It is recommended to use your Honor points to buy Skill Slimes first. It is quite easy to earn enough Honor points to buy all Skill Slimes every week. If you have Honor points left over at the end of the week, you may wish to spend them on Eggs, if you really want to.
Valor Medals are earned as ranking rewards. When the Colosseum resets, you earn Valor Medals as individual ranking rewards.
You can also earn Valor Medals during other player-vs-player events.
You may wish to save Valor Medals for the Legendary Selection Ticket, or you can use them on Capsule Coins. As it takes such a long time to save up for the two top rewards, the Legendary Selection Ticket or Absolute Legendary Egg, you may not wish to wait and use your Medals to gamble on Capsule Draws.
Topaz can only be bought with real-life currencies. The primary thing you can buy with them are Topaz Dragons. These dragons can only be obtained with Topaz (or during Purchase Point events).
See the article on Topaz for advice about buying these dragons.
In Capsule Draw, you can spend Gold or Diamonds to do a Heroic Draw, or use Capsule Coins to do a Legendary Draw.
You can obtain Capsule Coins:
You can gain a lot of rewards from capsules! Apart from the dragons that are displayed as rewards every day, you can also gain the following:
I do not recommend doing Heroic Draws unless you are in need of Wings, in which case you may wish to draw once or twice, as the Capsules can give a large number of Wings. Even then, you are as likely to only get amethyst or Eggs for your trouble.
Be aware that the drop rate of the top-tier rewards is extremely low. I never recommend going for the top-tier rewards, as you can spend a lot of diamonds and gold that is much better spent in other areas.
If you are in need of resources and have some real-life cash to spare, however, the Legendary Capsules can be a great deal! You can gain a lot of resources from it, and the rewards are in big numbers (e.g. 500,000 Gold).
My main advice regarding Capsules is do not draw from them with the aim to get top-tier rewards, as the probability is very low, and the amount of draws it takes to get top-tier rewards is too high. Most of the time, you are better off buying those dragons from the Witch's Cauldron.
There are also a great number of packs and items that you can buy with real-life currencies, should you feel so inclined to support the game.
The Daily Shop resets every day. From it, you can buy:
All of these items are excellent value for money, except for the three million gold, which is less than what you can get from using the Gold booster.
You can buy Auto Pick-Up which will automatically pick up the blue balls dropped in Adventure. They are a purchase you will likely want near-constantly, and a great investment once you are at the point where you are grinding Adventure every day.
The 2x daily rewards are also a great pick up, as daily quests are your primary consistent source of diamonds, and the 2x daily reward lasts for 2 weeks.
The Shop contains a myriad of packs. Amongst these, the best deals are:
