Dungeons are a source of resources. At the beginning, you may not be able to see or access all of them. Some unlock with your level, while others unlock with achievements.
You can farm for fruits from this dungeon in order to increase Closeness with your dragons.
However, you should only farm for exactly as many fruits as you need at first.
Eventually, the Dragon Forest will give you more fruit than you will ever need. So there is no need to hoard fruit.
The team you will need for this dungeon is similar to Adventure mode.
An essential dungeon. It is not a bad idea to sit here and farm for a few hours every now and then, as you will always be in need of evolution materials.
Early game, I do advise you to spend your wings on adventure, but mid-game when you do not need to collect resources as much, you can camp here at times.
A good dungeon to farm during events that require spending wings.
The team you will need for this dungeon is similar to Adventure mode.
A dungeon you can enter twice a day to earn some gold.
In this dungeon, the aim is to simply rack up as many points as possible.
Thus, you only need a mana battery and you can fill the other 4 slots with DPS or some support that provides mana or buffs. A healer is not necessary.
The boss will try to hamper your progress by applying debuffs or stun.
I strongly suggest putting on auto pick up when you enter this dungeon, by watching an ad if you have not bought auto pick up. You need to pick up your earnings, which is quite tedious to do by hand.
A monstrous dungeon. It supplies normal runes, Ancient Runes, and Books of Amorru.
Due to the high difficulty level of this dungeon, it is considered late-game content. Attempt only when you feel ready.
Read about the Ancient Ruins Dungeon here.
The first dungeon you will use to farm for runes.
You don’t have to worry about grinding level 1-6 for runes. They have a chance of dropping 3-star (or lower!) runes, and you can easily farm for better from Adventure.
When you first begin, this dungeon may feel extremely hard, but rest assured this is only because your dragons are not yet optimally runed. Nightmare Dungeon has no particular requirements like Clan Dungeon or Ancient Ruins, so you can use the same team as you do in Adventure.
Tip: Farm the stages you can do until you are able to move on to the next one! When you can reliably pass Nightmare Dungeon level 7 but cannot yet do level 8, keep farming level 7 until you have good runes for your current team on slots 1 and 2. This should be enough to take you to level 8, and so on.
The boss monsters of Nightmare Dungeon are not special in any way, except for level 10 which can silence your dragons.
Buffs and debuffs are not necessary (though a pleasant bonus if you can get them), and with time, you may not even need a healer.
Multi-target attackers are excellent to get rid of mobs and hit the multi-target boss (not Mini, however, as it will be of no use against the boss). You can use 2 multi-target attackers, such as Spine and Solar, or you can use 1 multi-target attacker and 1 single-target attacker.
Apart from that, as usual, you will need a mana battery. Cupid’s buffs or debuffs can be a nice bonus, but not necessary.
A debuff that can really shine in Nightmare Dungeon is DOT. This is helpful to take the boss down faster. Good dragons for this are Nerroth or Fire Hurricane.
See team building for Adventure or Rune Guardian for more information.
When you play in Adventure mode or in other dungeons, you may occasionally be alerted to the fact that you have discovered a Relationship Dungeon.
Relationship Dungeons give out 3 relationship points of the dragon you fight in them. You can thusly play in them to earn relationship points to summon a dragon, or enhance a dragon you have already built.
Note that Relationship Dungeons can only occur for Normal (2-star) or Rare Dragons. You cannot get Relationship Dungeons of any other type of dragon.
Because only Normal or Rare relationship dungeons can be found, you will likely not need to go into Relationship Dungeons very often. You may go in only to look for a dragon you want to use but have not yet been able to summon - though you will likely summon the dragon sooner than later.
They can be useful for summoning Dark or Light Normal dragons, as Dark or Light Normal dragons can only be summoned with friendship points. You may wish to summon these dragons for book completion.
There are 10 waves in every Relationship Dungeon. This can make it quite difficult and annoying, especially healers such as Plesio, and Bomber dragons, which inflict damage when their HP reaches 0. Refrain from attempting until you have a fully formed team of dragons with 5 stars and above, and great runes.
