While earning my EdD in Elementary and Early Childhood Education at Rutgers University, I was fortunate to be trained in Social-Emotional Learning through Maurice Elias and CASEL.
I utilized these skills to develop social-emotional learning experiences in my early childhood undergraduate courses. As I trained my preservice teachers in the SEL skills, they incorporated them into their practicum lessons in their PK-2 classrooms.
