Counter-shading is a common marking that seems to cover all the parts of the dracovix that would be in shadow in a soft second tone. The minimum range is the belly. The maximum heterozygous and homozygous range is the throat, lower half of neck, inner limbs, lower half of the body and tail, and the underwings including some of the shoulders and the sides of the body between the underwing and belly, with higher range where the tail and neck meet the hips and shoulders respectively. The Counter-shading mark can be separated between the underwing and the body.
