Dracovix ARPG aims to be a welcoming, inclusive, relaxing, and cozy place for its members, the players, to tell their stories through art and writing. By joining the group or discord, and by owning a dracovix in the game, you agree to and abide by these rules and terms of service.
The rules of Dracovix ARPG apply to all members and admins equally. Violation of any of these rules may be penalized in a number of ways which include: verbal warning, demotion from the admin team, temporary or permanent limitation of group activities or server participation, temporary or permanent suspension from both the group and discord server.
The standard etiquette here is kindness, not thick skin. Hostile, abusive, or passive aggressive behavior towards other players or admins is not permitted. Any level of discrimination shown or expressed towards any group of people is strictly prohibited.
If you or someone you know is being harassed or treated in a way that violates this mandate, please submit a ticket in the discord server, or note the group or PriestessShizuka.
Be aware however that we can't make judgement calls on the behavior of our members and admins outside of our domain. If a member of Dracovix ARPG is bullying a fellow player, that should be reported to our staff team, but if someone is rude to a stranger who is not a member of Dracovix, that's outside of our scope to moderate. Exceptions can be made for evidence of seriously dangerous behavior exhibited by our members or admins, such as stalking, grooming, or assault, which will be punished promptly and severely to keep our members safe.
Less a rule and more of a big recommendation: lift people up and celebrate the work they create! Show genuine interest and positivity for other players' characters. I guarantee it'll make almost anyone's day to receive a warm reception to the artwork and literature they finish and to their beloved original characters.
Do not try to cheat the system or seek out loopholes in the rulings, especially in the ARPG's Alpha and Beta phases. Please let us know if you find what you believe is an exploit!
Respect the lives of admins outside of the ARPG by not doing this. You can always bring up questions and concerns by starting a thread in the discord server's Help Center. This also means to not pester the admins about getting to your in-game request. Please understand that real life and hobbies outside of this roleplay are a right for everyone, including the admins.
The content and themes expressed in this species' fictional lore and by other players including the creator in their own fictional lore writing often include darker or mature themes including but not limited to violence, death, illness, manipulation, and more, always within the context of writing complex or flawed fictional characters. Therefore, the creative atmosphere is not suitable for those under 16 years old. However, extremely dark topics should not be brought up in chat between players and must be censored when posted as art or literature.
Before you can submit your first dracovix geno into design approvals or be traded an import, you need to join the discord server and the deviantArt group with your dA account. The account you join the deviantArt group and discord server with needs to be the account you will be uploading any art and literature entries and participating in the ARPG with. A lot of the ARPG's features and mechanics take place through the discord server, so you'll need to join the discord server in order to play Dracovix ARPG.
If at any point, you decide to transfer all your ARPG assets to a different account of yours and continue playing on that account, please submit a ticket through the discord server.
All artwork and literature submissions to the deviantArt group need to include a dracovix or dracovix's humanoid form, and all journal posts need to be related to the dracovix ARPG. When posting sales journals for other ARPGs to Dracovix ARPG, it should be implied that some part of the trade being offered or requested will include the dracovix species, such as accepting Dracovix ARPG items (slots, genos, imports, etc.) as offers for trade for the user's assets in the other ARPG. Sales posts that will only sell other ARPG assets for money or non-Dracovix ARPG related items will not be accepted.
Artwork and literature entries, design, breeding, fledgling claims, and transactional requests must be posted as the final submission unless corrections are needed after the admin receives the request. Attempts to make placeholder posts, such as editing your comment, to try to speed up the processes of the group's functions will result in your post being voided.
Only one player can be officially recognized as the owner in a dracovix's import and may hold the rights to make decisions in the ARPG for that dracovix.
In order to count for quests, prompts, activities, and Nobility Points, all artwork and literature entries for your dracovix must be posted publicly on deviantArt under your dA account that you joined the group with, or a valid platform under your account that you registered when you joined the discord server.
Valid platforms are sites outside of dA that we have decided to allow as an alternative to posting your work to your deviantArt account, and currently include: Twitter, Bluesky, Fur Affinity, and Instagram. Art that has been posted elsewhere of your dracovix cannot be counted in your dracovix's Np Tracker or prompt submissions.
You don't need to register alternative accounts if you plan to post all of your entries to your deviantArt - only if for any reason you do not wish to post your work on your deviantArt account. Due to character limits, we recommend opting for sites like Fur Affinity if you plan to post literature entries.
Sta.sh submissions will not count unless as storage for import images during the design approval process. An exception to this rule is if an artist has deleted or has warned you that they are going to delete their gallery - then you may post their artworks to your Sta.sh, crediting the artist clearly on the same page, and link those sta.sh entries to your Np Tracker.
Unapproved dracovix who are not imported into the game with an approved design do not exist in the game yet, and cannot be used for any ARPG activities or quest prompts.
Imported dracovix portrayed with traits, markings, mutations, design elements, or powers that they don't officially have may not be eligible for Np or to fulfill prompts.
This rule has a zero tolerance policy. All artwork must be your own. You must have full permission to use any brushes or stamps in your art programs, and copyrighted material or logos may not be used anywhere in your artwork or designs.
You may not use photographs you don't own in any submission to the group. If you took the photograph, and you have the rights to share the contents of the photograph and it doesn't include any people, you may use it in your artwork, such as for the Tier One Proof of Self prompt, but in any entry, it will not count as a background for background requirements or for Nobility Points.
We encourage members to use references to aid in the quality of their work. If you use references, it's highly recommended to credit your references. But we do not permit heavily referencing the work of other artists. We know that tracing and heavy referencing are great tools for learning, but the results of these kinds of learning exercises are not allowed to be posted publicly at all nor submitted to the group or shared in the discord server.Â
Of course, AI "art" or NFT are absolutely forbidden in any form in any parts of the group as art or a conversation topic. Users who have AI-generated images in their deviantArt gallery will not be permitted to join or participate in the group.
Glazing and nightshading your work to protect it from AI scraping is encouraged and will not disqualify it as a valid submission.
This is not the ARPG where you can heavily sexualize your characters, even in humanoid form, and nsfw topics, artwork, or writing will not be accepted into the deviantArt group or discord server outside of the nsfw channel. If you want to create and publish R-18 artwork or writing of your dracovix's humanoid forms, you may do so privately and may publish nsfw works on your own art accounts, but these subjects are not viable to be counted for Nobility Points or Dracovix ARPG prompts.
Nonsexual violent, mature, dark, or graphic themes must have a blur filter over them before they can be submitted to the group or posted to the discord server and counted for Nobility Points and ARPG prompts. Always spoiler mature artwork before posting it to the discord server, and label your post with all related content warnings.
The skill level of your work will never have an effect on your participation in any of the group's activities, and we will not judge you based off the history of your quality of work. This ARPG group should be a place where you can go at your own pace, to take it easy on yourself as a creator, or to challenge yourself to go above and beyond and test your limits and improve your skill set radically. This ARPG can be a place where you can take a breather from going all out to draw casually as a true side hobby. It is all entirely up to you how much effort you want to invest into your creative hobby in order to play the ARPG and tell your stories, as long as it is your own handiwork of course. :)
When posting artwork or literature of dracovix characters, especially outside of deviantArt, you must include credit by naming the deviantArt group (Dracovix ARPG) or the species owner, PriestessShizuka. Unless given permission via the ARPG's rules through given ownership of a geno, provided via a direct link to a comment on deviantArt, you may not create your own dracovix, and you may not sell unofficial adoptables of the species.
Dracovix ARPG owns the rights for all the artwork assets and written text used in the game across its website and group pages. You may not repost the game's assets, such as the import template, backgrounds, and in-game artwork anywhere. You may not trace or copy the import templates.
The imports are not to be uploaded to your deviantArt gallery, and may not be uploaded to any off-site galleries such as Toyhouse without the species creator's permission. All official and approved dracovix characters' imports will be posted to the ARPG's official admin account, KnightsOfAvalon.
Your artwork and designs belong to you. When you own a dracovix, you do not own its species nor its import image file, but instead own its design and the rights to use it as a character however you wish, within the boundaries of the game.
If you adopt a dracovix from another player, the designer still is owed credit for the design, but you own the character rights to do with the design as you please for your character.
You are free to write your characters' stories intertwined with the stories of characters from other closed species and ARPGs, even crossing over the species lore as you wish. Crossover lore between ARPGs is not offically canon to the Dracovix species' lore, but can be canon to your personal characters' lore. Via the dracovix's shapeshifting abilities, you may even use your dracovix as a "rider" for other ARPGs which include a rider or handler mechanic, so long as the other ARPG also permits it.
If you ever decide you would like to quit Dracovix ARPG and bring your characters with you outside of the ARPG, you must change their species officially in name, and you may not use their import image file. But the design, any reference art you made of the character, and the character's name and lore are otherwise entirely yours to do with as you please.
The dracovix import must still belong to you in name. You can't sell the dracovix import and then continue using its design as your OC.
There are no activity checks for your membership or ownership of your characters. You can always take a break from the group for as long as you would like, then return and find everything you own in the ARPG the same as you left it and resume play immediately. Even if you leave the deviantart group or the discord server, you do not lose ownership of your characters or ARPG assets, but you'll have to rejoin in order to resume activities in the group.
The alpha and beta stages of the ARPG are unfinished versions of the game, and any mechanics, game features, and genetic passing rates are subject to change. Mechanics, success, and pass rates may get harder or easier. Please keep this in mind before you join and invest into the game. As we observe how the ARPG plays, we will make changes to try to better balance all the features of the game.
If in the event you obtained a semi-custom, and its value went down due to the changing of things like marking pass rates or mutation rarities, you will be compensated with the option to add or change a marking on that semi-custom to something of higher value.
Wordings on rules and information in various parts of the ARPG may also not be the final wording, and may be changed on a whim, even in the event it is brought up when a player runs into the discrepancy. Should a player encounter a possible ruling or gameplay loophole, we will be as fair as possible in the moment and out of respect to the player's time and efforts, but we will also seek to finalize all decisions in the vision of the improved balance of the game wherever possible.
In the unfortunate event that you receive a permanent ban from the group, you have 30 days of time where you may rehome your dracovix characters for any asking price. After the 30 days period concludes, your owned dracovix will be irreversibly "deceased". This does not mean they are canonically dead, but they are no longer active in the game. Deceased dracovix are not playable and will never be given to other players. You still own your characters, and can do with their designs as you please, but you can no longer participate in the group or use their imports.
Do not take back breeding slots by trying to delete or hide the slot permission comment. Do not use all of your dracovix's breeding slots when you have promised any number of them to other players.
If you trade away your dracovix or receive a dracovix with slots promised to other players, you must honor those given out slots. You cannot reverse the decision of those slots being given to other players.
An exception can be made if a player deactivates their deviantArt account without notice. In this case, please submit a ticket in the discord server so that we can confirm that the player didn't move accounts in our records. Do not delete the slot permission comments to the deactivated player. If we decide that the slots can be returned to your dracovix, an admin will make a comment in reply to the slot permission comment indicating that the slot has been returned to the dracovix's owner due to the recipient deactivating their account without prior notice.
When writing slot permissions to other players, the dracovix's owner may decide whether the receiver of the slot has permission to resell or trade the slot to another player, and permission to use it to inbreed. The slot receiver must abide by these regulations. Only the slot giver may change the permissions to slots given out by editing their comment or replying with the adjusted permissions.
When making offers or negotiating trades with other players, try to come to your own agreements on what you both believe is a fair trade. Be respectful and don't take it personally if your offer is not accepted. Harassment, hostility, or aggression over trade agreements is not allowed.
After agreeing to and making a trade, the transaction is final and cannot be brought into question again. Do not pester others to give you back things you agreed to trade to them if they do not want to reverse the trade for any reason.
Players are permitted to trade and sell assets that they own in the ARPG and may charge and trade real life currency, points, in-game currency (Embers), art, and ARPG assets, but the ARPG, staff, and species owner are not responsible for what transactions are made, and will not be obligated to refund any assets traded away on the player's behalf.
However, we do not permit scammers to persist in their work from the moment they are a known scammer. Scams will be dealt with accordingly, and scammers involving any real life currency will be punished severely.
We strongly advise that players take care to avoid potentially risky trade deals. Avoid large, up front payments to accounts that appear to be new or otherwise have little or no sales history with other players. Consider which side can safely hold the "risk" of a trade deal should the other side fall through, and as a result, which side should deliver first before the other side delivers their agreed asset in the trade. Generally, when trading things like art for in game assets, the art should be completed first before the asset is sent over. If you are new to the group, it would be fair for you to accept the riskier side of a trade deal. That is, you finish your side of the deal first, such as an art payment, then your trade partner sends you their asset that they agreed to trade you for your art payment.
When paying each other with real life currency using tools like Paypal, we advise against sending money as Friends/Family and instead using the invoice feature.
We also recommend that players screenshot any agreed upon deals and transactions so that staff can better assist in the event a trade falls through at the player's expense. In the event you believe you have been scammed, please submit a ticket through the group's discord server and present as much evidence and details as you can provide.
The advertisement cool down timers however are separate between the deviantArt group and the discord server. You may only post or resubmit an advertisement to the deviantArt group once per 24 hours, and you may only post or bump an advertisement in the discord server's trading post forum once per 24 hours on the minute mark.
This can be achieved by mentioning that the artist will draw for dracovix, or by including dracovix examples in the ad post.
