Project SCOPE: Strengthening Capacities and Opportunities for Professional Excellence
Project SCOPE is a flagship initiative of the Learning Resource Management Section (LRMS) designed to enhance the professional capacities of school heads, teachers, and LRMS personnel in the field of learning resource development, management, and innovation. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, capacity building, and professional growth, Project SCOPE aims to cultivate a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in the division's learning resource ecosystem.
Through a series of structured conferences, training sessions, and festivals, Project SCOPE empowers educators and stakeholders to take active roles as learning resource evaluators, writers, illustrators, and innovation leaders. Below are the activities and programs under this project:
The Schools Division Office of Ligao City successfully conducted PAGHERAS: The 1st Division Learning Resource Management (LRM) Virtual Conference on July 5, 2024, bringing together 67 school heads, 10 Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDS), and 10 Education Program Supervisors (EPS) in a collaborative effort to strengthen the implementation of learning resource management across schools. The virtual conference served as a platform for sharing best practices, aligning school-level LRM initiatives with division priorities, and enhancing strategies for developing, utilizing, and ensuring access to quality learning resources. PAGHERAS, rooted in the local concept of shared responsibility, emphasized the collective role of school leaders in promoting inclusive and resilient education through effective resource management.
The Division Capacity-Building for Storywriting cum 2024 Storywriting Awarding Ceremony gathered 50 teachers from across SDO Ligao City in a meaningful celebration of creativity and literacy. This was held last January 24, 2025 at Norry’s Function Hall, Tuburan, Ligao City. This is one of the initiatives of the SDO Ligao City-Learning Resource Management Section to promote contextualized and culturally relevant learning resources. The activity provided participants hands-on training in story development, writing techniques, and resource production aligned with curriculum standards. The awarding ceremony recognized outstanding teacher-writers whose stories will be utilized in classroom instruction, contributing to the growing collection of locally developed reading materials. The event highlighted the division's continued commitment to empowering educators as content creators and champions of literacy.
