Project SAVE: Strengthening ADM for Viable Education
Project SAVE (Strengthening ADM for Viable Education) is a strategic initiative of the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) aimed at enhancing the capacity of school heads and teachers in implementing the Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM), particularly in contexts requiring flexible and inclusive learning approaches such as Education in Emergencies (EIE), Open High School (OHS), School Initiated Intervention (SII), Homeschooling and Rural Farm School (RFS) programs.
This project encompasses a series of structured activities funded through the FLO-ADM PSF, with the goal of promoting sustainable and effective delivery of ADM across schools in the Division. It focuses on capacity building, resource utilization, monitoring, and performance evaluation. Below are the activities and programs under this project:
Division Inventory and Mapping of Learning Resources cum Development of Contextualized Dynamic Learning Program Activity Sheets for Suspension of Face-to-Face Classes
The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Ligao City conducted a two-day workshop on January 30–31, 2026, in Guinobatan, Albay, to strengthen home-based learning during class suspensions. Organized by the Curriculum Implementation Division and Learning Resource Management Section, the activity brought together teacher-writers, learning resource evaluators, and education supervisors.
The workshop focused on inventorying, organizing, and mapping existing teaching-learning resources, as well as developing contextualized Learning Activity Sheets (LAS) aligned with curriculum standards and responsive to learners’ needs. Participants collaborated to review materials, identify gaps, and ensure quality through evaluation and technical guidance.
Schools Division Superintendent Nympha D. Guemo emphasized the importance of innovation and preparedness in ensuring continuous, inclusive, and quality education beyond the classroom. The outputs of the workshop will serve as standardized learning materials for use during face-to-face class suspensions, supporting uninterrupted learning across the division.
Comprehensive Orientation and Family Engagement Day for Open High School
The “Foundation for Future Success: Comprehensive Orientation and Family Engagement Day for Open High School,” held on December 16, 2025, at the Ligao NHS Production Room, aimed to orient students and parents about the Open High School Program (OHSP) and strengthen family involvement in education.
The program featured an orientation session that included the presentation of the OHSP structure, clarification of students’ and parents’ roles and responsibilities, and an open forum to address concerns. Messages from school officials emphasized collaboration, commitment, and shared responsibility in supporting learners’ success.
The activity also incorporated intermission performances, thanksgiving messages, and closing remarks, followed by snacks, family day games, and lunch. Overall, the event fostered partnership between the school and families while promoting a supportive and engaging learning environment for OHSP learners.
Division Training-Workshop on Strengthening the Implementation and Monitoring of Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) in Public Elementary and Secondary Schools
The implementation of the Division Training-Workshop on Strengthening the Implementation and Monitoring of Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) in Public Elementary and Secondary Schools highlighted key activities aimed at strengthening Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) implementation across schools. On September 27, 2024, a Division Training Workshop was conducted with 87 participants, including 67 school heads, 10 Education Program Supervisors (EPS), and 10 Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDS), focusing on the features, structure, and planning tools for various ADM modalities. Continuous online and field monitoring, technical assistance, and quarterly Post-Implementation Review and Planning Adjustment (PIRPA) sessions helped ensure effective implementation and alignment of ADM with national priorities, benefiting schools and learners who require flexible learning options.
Division Training-Orientation on Utilization of Learning Resources for Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) and Education in Emergencies (EIE)
To strengthen learning continuity during crises, the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Ligao City held the Division Hybrid Training-Orientation on the Utilization of Learning Resources for Alternative Delivery Mode – Education in Emergencies (ADM-EiE) on January 29–31, 2025, at Twin Palace Function Hall, Oas, Albay. A total of 201 participants—composed of 67 school heads, 67 school librarians, and 67 ICT coordinators—joined the three-day training. The activity focused on maximizing digital, print, and contextualized learning resources under the Education in Emergencies (EiE) framework. It equipped participants with strategies for deploying learning materials during natural disasters and other disruptions, particularly in GIDA (Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas).
Organized by the Learning Resource Management Section, the training featured sessions on offline access, digital platforms, and the Division Learning Resource Portal. It also highlighted best practices in safeguarding and disseminating resources in emergency-prone areas.
