Grade 1 Mathematics Intervention Lessons were collaboratively developed by Krizzia Mae C. Pedrajeta, Teacher III of Ligao West Central Elementary School (Binatagan), and Kristine T. Orolfo, Master Teacher I of Ligao West Central Elementary School (Dunao). These materials underwent a thorough quality assurance process led by Dr. Jojim B. Cordova, Education Program Supervisor in Mathematics, and Rommel Carl R. Peralta, Education Program Supervisor in the Learning Resource Management Section (LRMS).
The development of these intervention lessons was driven by the need to address the diverse learning gaps observed among Grade 1 pupils in Mathematics, particularly in mastering fundamental concepts and skills such as number sense, basic operations, patterns, measurement, and problem-solving. Each intervention package consists of a Learning Activity Sheet and a Lesson Guide, making it a practical resource not only for teachers but also for parents and guardians who wish to assist their children at home. This dual-component design ensures that adults guiding the learners have clear instructions and ready-to-use activities, allowing for consistent support both in school and at home.
These intervention materials aim to support teachers in delivering focused remediation and enrichment activities, ensuring that no learner is left behind in achieving the essential skills needed for lifelong numeracy and academic success.
