Fireworks are NOT permitted in the township
It is a violation of state law (NJSA 21:2-1 et seq.) to sell, offer for sale, possess, or use any fireworks without a permit from the township. Violators are subject to arrest, prosecution, fines, or 30 days in jail.
If you have a complaint regarding the discharge of fireworks, please call the New Jersey State Police - Bridgeton Station at (856) 451-0100 or 9-1-1.
The township cannot enforce the state fireworks laws.
Exempt Sparkling Devices and Novelties (these are not in violation of the above and are legal to posses and use):
Hand held sparklers
Ground-based sparklers
Snakes
Glow Worms
Smoke Devices
Trick Noisemakers
Party Poppers
Snappers
Drop Pops
