Deerfield Township is served by the Rosenhayn Fire Company. In cooperation with the township, the fire department is a combined career and volunteer agency. The township employs professional firefighter/EMTs during the hours of 5 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday. Members of the volunteer department serve the township during all other hours and assist the career staff during the day.

The NJ Division of Fire Safety provides a notification system to fire departments of residents who are either disabled or use home medical oxygen. The notification also aids emergency responders in locating and assisting residents who have limited or no ambulatory ability.

The Division will provide an emblem to mount on the resident's front door as well as information to the local fire company regarding the resident's medical history, disability, or the presence of a pressurized oxygen tank.
