Ringers from other towers are welcome to attend any practice or service ringing, or any other open ringing event such as meetings. If you want to being a team of ringers (e.g. for a quarter or ringing outing) then go to the Booking the Bells page.
The number of people allowed in the tower is currently restricted to a maximum of ten, so anyone planning to visit is strongly advised to contact us first, or you might be denied access. All visitors must follow our procedures for ringing in the pandemic.
While it varies depending on the ringers available, we usually ring a selection of commonly rung Minor, Triple and Major methods. There are also usually a couple of 'special' methods on the list. However, we will always try to accommodate less experienced visitors, with rounds, call changes or plain hunt if needed.
Service ringing and practices are sometimes cancelled, so please check the calendar on the What's On page or contact us before setting out.
See the Getting Here page for details of how to get to the church, nearby parking, and how to get in if the tower is locked.
If you are under 18, then you should be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult. If this is not possible, then a parent should contact us before you come along, so that we can ensure that suitable safeguarding arrangements are in place.
Note that there is a climb of 47 steps up a spiral staircase to reach the ringing room.
