The ringing room contains a diatonic set of 12 handbells in Bb.
These were given to the St Peter's ringers in 1902, by Robert Baker Chambers and his fiance Florence Jane Bayliss, to mark their forthcoming wedding.
The handbells had not been used regularly for many years, but after their clapper assemblies were refurbished by John Taylor's Bellfoundry in 2018, they are now used at a weekly practice.
We also have a pair of motion sensors allowing one of our Ringing Simulator workstations to be used for practising method ringing on handbells.
