Evening Exercise Bob Triples
Notes by Alan Rowe
Notes by Alan Rowe
This is a twin-hunt asymmetric method:
The first half of the lead is the same as Double Court
The second half of the lead is plain hunt
When hunting up, the rules for passing the treble are:
Pass treble in 1-2 up = Court places (5ths and 3rds)
Pass treble in 2-3 up = Dodge 6-7 up
Pass treble in 3-4 up = Dodge 6-7 down
Otherwise plain hunt above the treble
When hunting down, the rules for passing the treble are:
Pass treble in 2-3 down = Dodge 1-2 up
Pass treble in 3-4 down = Dodge 1-2 down
Pass treble in 4-5 down = 3rds & out (this is part of the court places after passing the treble in 1-2 up)
Otherwise plain hunt below the treble
There are various types of call that can be used. For the 'Beyond Grandsire' practices, we will be using two types of call - but not both in the same touch!
Bob

The bell which would have dodged 1-2 up instead double dodges 1-2 down
The bell which would have dodged 1-2 down instead makes 3rds and goes into the hunt
