Ismael is a very shy, timid boy. He grew up without many friends, but thankfully, Alice changed that. He only really has one friend, being Alice, and he doesn't like to leave her side. He has a stuttering problem, and he thinks lowly of himself because of this. Alice and him sit down for a few hours a day to try to work on fixing this problem he has, but he knows there's nothing he can do to fix this part of him he wishes never existed in the first place. Even though he gets very upset about this very often, Alice is always by his side to help him through his rough days.

Ismael originated from Komasan Lover’s original Komalator Mod. He was made as a suitor for the games second rival, Nyalani. Ismael made the cut for appearing in season 2, but Nyalani did not. Ismael has always had a very shut-in type of personality and will continue to have this personality in Danganronpa: Komalator. Ismael was chosen second to participate in the killing game.
