Time Travel.
As the fifth-gate to Walt Disney World, Disney's Clockwork Kingdom explores the unexpected, the unknown, & the unseen. Time Travel is not a novel concept, but most frequently, it is used as a means of escapism. Such is that case of Frontierland or Golden Age Hollywood across the Walt Disney Resort. However, the capacity of thinking across time also opens us to new possibilities.
What about eras unforseen? Worlds less rarely visited in fiction, yet nevertheless deserve their chance in the spotlight. The Worlds of Clockwork Kingdom are bold, new, exciting - yet also retain the escapist adventure and fantasy fans come to expect at a Disney park. These are perfect settings for another Disney World journey, yet also, by sharing them here, we can also raise knowledge of these cultures and histories, combining history with mythology and fantasy.
Disney's Clockwork Kingdom is composed of four unique time periods, connected across a gigantic Clockwork Hub. The park is organized about a giant clock, with the earliest eras starting at 12:00 and moving respectively.
The four time periods were carefully selected to balance each-other. Each is from one of four eras - Ancient, Medieval, Early Modern, and Late Modern - and each is its own contintent.
Time Portals warp guests from the Clockwork Hub into one of the four lands. These "worlds untraveled" are:
Lianyun Valley (Ancient; Asia)
Crossroads City (Medieval; Middle East)
Branmere (Early Modern; Britian)
Northstar Outpost (Late Modern; Arctic Circle)
Upon opening, the park also features two expansion plots - one set between 900 - 1600, and another post-1800.
It's time to explore the park! Check out the various lands and entertainment offerings below!
