Off to the right of Crook's Square, several glowing lights surround a wooden theater with the stern of a Spanish galleon, this is the Captain James Hook theater. The windows that look into the cabin of the galleon shows what looks like a celebration is going on with several people dancing around and somebody playing music (accomplished by a projection effect). The state of the theater doesn't look good with wooden planks starting to fall apart and cracked windows that are barely holding on. There are several barrels of rum spread throughout the outside of the theater that has several drunken pirates entertaining guests as they wait to enter the show which lasts 30 minutes. Several pirate banners are hung on several parts of the theater with one massive Jolly Roger flag hung on the end of the stern of the galleon.
Once the show is about to start, guests are beckoned inside a waiting room that seems to have gone threw a stampede. There are several tables with chairs that seem to barely be holding on that guests can sit on, as well as many benches. There are many rusted chandeliers, dozens of candles slowly melting onto the floor. The floorboards are starting to rot but there still holding on. This waiting room has many paintings of the famous Captain Hook along the walls as well as a massive statue of the Captain raising his sword into the air with Smee holding him up on his shoulders. Once the show is ready, 3 doors will open into a grand theater that has hundreds of seats separated into 3 sections. There are also 10 booths on a second floor with 5 booths on each side of the theater.
The lights dim as a monologue from Captain Hook begins with him explaining his position and how he has been so screwed over with his life so he decides to show guests his life. The show starts with him in his childhood in 16th century London with it's gloomy weather and little light entering the city. Guests see a young James near a lake, playing with a toy ship before being stopped by a group of bullies. They pushed him around and broke his ship and threw it into a well which slowly started to sink. They said that he would never join the Royal Navy and he would stay on land for the rest of his life. James runs away as the bullies laugh at him.
The scene transitions to James in school as he is about to graduate and achieve his dream of joining the Royal Navy. That is when he met a girl named Anne, a fiery redhead. Hook fell in love with her immediately and the 2 started to talk and they eventually got in a relationship. They sung a love song together, proclaiming their love for each other as they sing around the dreary streets of London. They went around London and to James, it seems that everything was going perfectly. That was until James came home and saw Anne with one of his bullies from his childhood, stuck in a passionate embrace. Anne proceeded to mock James about his dreams before the bully pushed James out of the door. Instead of crying this time, he grew determined. He would be captain of his own ship, no matter the cost.
The scene transitions to the naval academy in Bristol. The academy is grand with paintings of the several successful captains that the academy has produced. James went through the several classes that teaches students the several aspects of sailing and how to be a good captain. This is when a musical number starts, with the teacher singing the several lessons that they would be teaching with the entire school joining in on the song as James sings the final verse. That is when James bumps into the school janitor, a wrinkly old man named Smee. The 2 bond over their love of the sea and the 2 become fast friends. It would take awhile but James would eventually graduate the academy and he decided that he would take Smee with him. He would go looking for work and he became a sailor on the Atlantic's Breath, a large 3 masted sailing ship.
The scene transitions onto the deck of the Atlantic's Breath with the many crew members scrubbing the deck. The crew sings a shanty about how life was like on the ship, with it being hard work and how tired they get at the end of the day. The song is interrupted with a barrage of cannon fire. James climbs on the mast and sees a large pirate galleon firing into their hull. A massive brawl occurs with James taking center stage with him fighting off several pirates at once but the captain of the pirate galleon walks aboard the ship and the sight of him stopped the crew of the Atlantic's Breath and had them shaking in their boots. Blackbeard walked about the ship and called for no further bloodshed. The captain of the Atlantic's Breath surrendered. Blackbeard recruited James as his 1st mate due to his performance in the battle.
The scene transitions onto the Queen Anne's Revenge and how James is getting used to this new life. He leads a sea shanty on how he will be captain of his own ship one day and how he will procure tons of treasure one day. That is when a merchant ship is seen in the distance. A short battle occurs with the crew of the merchant ship surrendering. Blackbeard gifted this ship to James, which James named the Jolly Roger. The ship was outfitted in the way that guests know and was seen in Peter Pan. Guests then see a compilation of all the ships that the Jolly Roger attacked. That is until a bright flash engulfs the ship and they are transported into an unknown land that was not on any map. They were in Neverland. As James explores the forest, he is suddenly attacked by a flying boy. A duel starts but the boy plays dirty and in the end, cuts off James hand and tossed it into the water which was eaten by a crocodile.
Captain Hook then walks on stage and says how horrible his life is and how the universe has always worked against him. That is until Peter Pan flies around and tells everyone that Hook has been lying about his entire life. Tinkerbell flies around the theater and shows the truth. Let's start at the beginning. James was actually the one bullying kids and always took advantage of his mothers kindness. He was the one that actually cheated on Anne and gaslighted her into thinking it was her fault. His relationship with Smee was extremely toxic and was filled with gaslighting and other toxic ways of communication. During the battle of the Atlantic's Breath, he hid in a cabin until the battle stopped and claimed that he was a very powerful person and lied to Blackbeard. James was also a horrible captain and relied more on Smee keeping the crew together than him being competent. When he entered Neverland, he started a bunch of raids on the natives and Peter tried to talk him down but James attacked him first. Once this flashback is done, Hook tries to attack Peter but Tinkerbell sprinkles Pixie dust on Hook and he starts to fly in the air. Peter waves at guests and tells them to exit the theater quick before Hook's pirate crew finds them.
