Backstory
Nils arrives to Silver Oak as a transfer student from Ireland.
He was born in a single parent family and lacked a paternal figure for the entity of his life. The result of this was that Nils' fractious nature opened itself up earlier. Nils was able to find friends to guide his childhood however, which led him to see many of his friends as role models. Copying his mother's behaviors led him to become interested in things that girls usually would be into, such as knitting.
While his reliance on friends worked for most of his life, at the age of 15, Nils' best friend's family divorced. Their mother moved away, and although Nils' friend was still present every so often, he didn't go to the same school anymore. Nils' shoulder to lean on was gone.
This resulted in him falling into a moody funk. His grades dropped, and he seemed unmotivated to do anything. In an attempt to get Nils to experience the world around him, his mother enrolled him to be a transfer student.
Example Post
Nils had heard that he had dropped in at the worst possible time, the day before homecoming. All the fake boys and girls would probably be talking about it, and Nils vaguely wondered if class would even function as normal. And of course, there was the problem that Nils himself would be undoubtedly excluded from all the fun. He was here too early to shrug away the fact that he missed out on one of the school year’s biggest events, but too late to have enough time to find friends to go with. Oh well. Homecoming was just a stupid event meant to milk you of your money. Back home, homecoming was pointless and bland. Undoubtedly it’d be the same here.
The only thing that Nils could think of doing was to pretend that today was just like yesterday. And the day before then. Just attend class and try to figure out what it was like here.
