Kely with Nobel prize winner Shinya Yamanaka, inventor of induced pluripotent stem cells, at a conference at the Gladstone Institutes.
I was an international student looking for jobs in San Francisco and realized that without a degree/certification from an accredited university or college it was not going to be possible to get where I wanted to be. Since I moved to San Francisco I wanted to work with stem cell treatments but not having proper training and knowledge [made it] very difficult and that was when I found out about the Stem Cell Technology Certification at CCSF. Right after I graduated I got the job I wanted and I am very pleased with everything I learned at CCSF!
I liked all the teaching methodology, the fact that the classes are in the lab space which allow us to get used to being in that kind of environment. It opened my mind to so many things and made me way more confident to work in this field.
I am very happy where I am now and I believe that the certification that I earned at CCSF gave me a grounded foundation and the opportunity to start my career in the biotech field.
